McDermott Homes sponsors their own as he races for gold

We are proud to sponsor our Construction Director, Tony Lynch in his bid to become the Retro Rallycross Champion. Tony is a well-known Rallycross driver who has been competing since 2005. He has an impressive track record, having won multiple championships throughout his career, including the National MDA Championship, MSA Stockhatch Championship, BMW MINI Rallycross Championship, MSA Supernational Championship, BTRDA Supermodified Championship (twice) and is currently reigning champion of the Retro Rallycross Championship.

Tony's current program involves running a 1980s Toyota MR2 in the Retro Rallycross Championship, which is a support to the main British Rallycross Championship. His team, Team Geriatric, operates out of a workshop in Westhoughton.

The name Team Geriatric came about as a joke after Tony’s wife Susan joked that the team was ‘starting to look like a bunch of Geriatrics’. Now known throughout the paddock by that name, Team Geriatric is regarded as one of the hardest-working and well presented teams in British Rallycross and after four events this season, they currently lead the championship standing.

We’re excited to see Tony succeed and are proud to be a part of his journey; Tony and his team's achievements in Rallycross are impressive, and their success is a testament to their hard work and dedication, we can't wait to see all the great things they will continue to accomplish.
